Re Fringe, I mainlined s2 pretty fast so it's partly a blur, but from what I remember, the back half of the season is pretty much all arc to one degree or another (... er, no pun intended); there's one ep that is a little less so, but is also a pretty great ep for its own sake. Glancing over an episode guide, it looks like you can maybe skip 2x14, but I wouldn't skip anything else.
