I have been deprived from vidding for far too long. Due to being busy and tech issues, I just haven't had the time but now on a wonderful Friday night free of obligations, I can. And its heaven! There's nothing like having all my source in Premiere (on my lovely external hard drive *loves*), vidding a random project that's been in the planning for a year and setting clips down to match the music. I'm in the groove, I know what clips I want to use or where to look for them, I know my structure and theme of the song, I find cool ways to match the clips to the music and it all comes out looking exactly like I want it to look. So amazing. Like this one section, there's this loong clip that has some awesome camera angles and movement as well as lots of narrative meaning and significance that I really want to use but it's too long for the music I need to fit it to. But with some carefully timed cuts to the beats in the music and changes in the clip, it looks so cool.
I love the whole creative process. I haven't been able to really be in it for awhile and its great to not just vid in my head, to produce something and see it in action. Sure, it may have taken me 2 hours to get 15 seconds of my vid done-but it's a damn good 15 seconds. It makes me so happy, to love doing something so much. I'm just so glad I found vidding as a creative outlet. |
