Vid rec, meta and a bit of BtVS/Angel

kitkatbyte's new vid, Love Ridden, a Brian/Justin s5 video. It's absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking with good use of motion and music/clip matching. Go watch it and be sure to leave feedback!
It's helped inspire me to get working on my own B/J vid that's been on hold for a year so I can finally finish it. I've been in a very vidding mood for the past two days as I've found new vid meta in various places. bandofbuggered (under February 2003) with lots of good vid meta and discussion of videos and how to improve them. Even though I can't see a lot of the videos as the links don't work anymore, its still interesting to read about. Also I looked at the old posts at the Nummy Treat yahoo group and there's lots of good vid meta posts as well there. Yummy. I swear, I looove reading about making vids way too much. This is why I'm going to Vividcon (OMG 3 weeks!).
I finished Buffy a few days ago and that was amazing. It firmly placed me back into the realm of Spike lovers and Spuffy shippers once again. I just love the bad boy falls in love and turns good set up. All of the caring Spuffy moments just killed me with the squee while the kiss/sex scenes were really hot. THeir whole relationship is so complicated and fascinating to think about, it makes me think and thats always a good sign.
Also I've been watching/listening to Once More With Feeling sooo many times as I am completely in love with it. I've declared it my favorite Buffy episode ever and maybe even of any series. It really can't compare to any other episode though as it's so unique with the musical aspect. My love for music and for feeling the emotion of the characters keeps me loving it and I can't help but sing along with them and feel what they're feeling. I fell in love with this episode two years ago when I had only seen a few episodes of Buffy but taped this off the tv. I couldn't stop watching it then and that certainly hasn't changed. For me, a musical can only succeed when I like almost every song and it's true for this one as I love every song sooo much. Also, Giles, Spike and Tara have the most beautiful voices ever. I am soo in love with Giles voice especially, it has this something to it, an edge that I can't get enough of (I was dyying when he sang Behind Blue Eyes/in Restless). Giles and Buffy is my favorite nonromantic relationship on the show actually so I just adore their song together. And Rest in Pieces and I'm Under Your Spell are beautiful too while Stay breaks my heart every damn time *cry*
I'm halfway through the second season of Angel now and really enjoying it. Angel gets some of the funniest moments on the show when he has to do something silly like dance or sing (haha). I loved when Spike came on the show, hot Spangel action along with Angel being so pretty when he's tortured. Oh and Wesley has totally won my heart over with his cuteness and his voice which I'm now absolutely in love with. My favorite scene with him was when he and Angel had to go on the motorcyle together and Angel puts on his pink helmet (hehe) and Wesley kind of smiles and says "Hop on board, gorgeous". Not only is it totally gay (add Angel/Wes to the ship list, please), the way Wesley says gorgeous is the sexiest thing ever. Yum. I really like the Wolfram and Hart plots and it's so cool seeing the flashbacks
Been watching some good BtVS videos lately, its nice to finally understand what's actually happening in the vids. I can see now why BtVS/AtS is so vidded as the motion and camera angles and other cool visual things are prevalent in both. Also whenever I was watching either of the shows, a lot of clips I'd be like, oh hey, I know that visual from ____'s video. I've also watched Scooby Road,sockkpuppett's brilliant BtVS album of vids many times over and each time I pick up something new and am even more impressed with how amazing it is (plus it makes me cry almost everytime). Any vid recs for either show is always appreciated.
