The Office
I was going to complain about East Coasters getting to see all the episodes before I do and making me jealous while I watch all the posts come up...and then I got my torrent of The Office and saw it a half hour early and all was well.
Oh, Michael. You steal my heart, make me cringe and laugh uproariously at the same time, make me cry and hurt for you and then make me so happy...only to do it all over again. I LOVED this episode and thought it was one of the funniest of the season. Even though I had seen about half of it online, it was only better to see the entire thing. The only bad thing is Jan didn't show up :( Not even a phone call. Oh show, how you torture me so.
Dwight prank! Yay, those never lose their greatness. Training Dwight in a Pavlov's Bell (psychology!) way was pure genius. "What are you doing?" Hehe. Awww Michael being forced out of the photo. Phyllis made a huge mistake giving Michael the job, causing him to crave that attention and specialness he was promised (and that he would have wanted anyway). Dwight/Angela continues to be super cute with Dwight calling Angela beautiful while Angela tried to keep it a secret. So much *love* for Dwight and his family's marrying in their own graves. Awww Michael vomiting at his mother's wedding :( Oh, Michael with his inappropiate things to say. Awwww little!Michael *cry* Poor kid with the crying and "I hate you". I may just die at the woobieness.
Dwight accidentally seeing The Wedding Crashers with "That's the thing about bear attacks. They come when you least expect it." Hahaha. "There was an emergency...I look really good in white." LOL. Best Kelly moment. "I will do better." Aww Michael. See, he was looking forward to doing it so much that it hurt him when he got his job taken away from him. Hehe Michael pushing him down was funny though. "This is bullshit." Aww Michael. LOL about pulling the chair down the aisle, so horribly funny. LOVE Creed putting his name on the present! So Creed. The "Bob Vance, Vance Refigeration" was PERFECT. This show *laughs* And the "first time" mistake of Michael...gahh so cringeworthy. Oh, Michael. I do love protective Michael though hehe.
OMG Dwight escorting out Uncle Al was hilarious! Oh, Dwight. And Scrantonocity! I loved seeing them. And the "has anyone seen Uncle Al" and then Uncle Al out on the street only made me laugh harder. I loved the Phyllis good at sports continuality. Michael's speech...well it started out good and too funny. The two metals, "gold metals" was just too cute. "Marriage!" Hehe. Trying out different first lines is so funny. "celebrity name would be Phylob" *covers face with hands* But still funny. Awww to being upstaged and "I hate you!" Oh, Michael. The Jim/Pam scene was made of cuteness with the smiles and the dorky dancing. That's what I like their scenes to be like. Aww to Michael trying to sneak in and getting turned away *sad* Pam's look at Jim was sweet and hehe at jumping to see in Michael. Awww at Roy/Pam, they were actually cute there. But Dwight/Angela wins the award for cutest and most romantic with their beautiful dance after all that secret romance. I never thought I'd love them so much but I do.
*cries at Michael being all alone and singing to himself* This show is breaking my heart way too much. Michael was *so* singing that song to Jan. I sympathize with Pam, I think she went with Roy because for once she needed to be with someone and after 9 years with Roy, she knew he'd understand and be with her. So cute to see Karen singing and dancing. Awww love Michael talking to Uncle Al and the switch of team to basketball. Aww Michael really does care for Phyllis and I loved his "I'm sorry". Small steps. Yay for the sweet cheek kiss :) "Let them eat cake...Margaret Thatcher said that" LOL. And then the cake! Oh, Michael. Tiny steps then, tiny steps.
So yeah, I *heart* Michael. Even if no one else does and keeps him all alone at the wedding, I'll still love him. Jan really should have been there though. I kept hoping she'd show up while he was sitting there but disappointingly it was not the case. It really would have helped Michael if he had someone there to love him back. Next week: Business school with Michael and Ryan! Directed by Joss Whedon, yay :)
There's One True Pairing and One True Character but there really should be One True Show. Because that's what The Office is for me. It completes me, it makes me happy and it makes me smile. I haven't been this obsessed with a show for a long time and now I'm reading so much fic, watching the vids, reading all the news and watching all the previews, checking out the cast blogs and rewatching the show over and over again. I've been working on converting more people and was very happy to find a fellow fan at work which led to much talking and squeeing about the show.
On a Queer as Folk note, is anyone on my Flist going to Berkshire, MA to see Randy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest? If so, what dates? Cause I'm totally going to go since I'll be pretty close to it. Just not sure when. And I want to meet QAF fans if I'm going to go.
