I hadn't heard much about the whole LJ scandal until I read your post. The way I look at it is, you can't stop freedom of speech. If I found out my LJ was banned because I talked about Lolita or whatever, that would royally piss me off. And, with regards to them deleting journals that list rape, etc. as an interest...normal people, like you and me, wouldn't add people who have those interests to our list anyway. Probably all a big fuss over nothing. Just one or two people.
