If you liked Casablanca, next on the viewing list should be To Have and Have Not. It was made a few years later, also with Bogart, similar storyline with less political symbolism and it -- takes potshots at Casablanca, really, or at least at the gender politics of Casablanca. For my money, it's way more enjoyable.
