I'm so glad you got into it :) I do thank Arrested Development for giving me the motivation to check it out as I fell in love with it at first sight to and it made me realize how smart and funny comedies could be (previously I had only seen Friends and Everyone Loves Raymond). Mine is reversed now, although I will always love AD, The Office will always be my favorite sitcom. But to each her own :)
