End of Year Meme
It's hard to believe 2011 is about to end. I can only hope 2012 will be much better than last year for me and everyone else.
1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
Run a marathon, Live in Los Angeles, ran a panel at a con, went to a work conference, talked to a CEO, bought a car, saw a Lakers game at the Staples Center, bought an iPhone &hearts.
2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Nope. My resolutions are going to be smaller and I'm starting off with a simple, practice coding each day and eat smaller portions. I want to go less all or nothing this year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No. Although Steve Jobs death made me cry.
5. What countries did you visit?
None.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
Ruby on Rails skills.
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
March 20th, finishing the LA marathon in the rain. Still don't know how I did that but it took every ounce of resolve that I had to finish, at least with a decent time.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Running a marathon, getting a million views on Youtube for one of my vids and getting into Dev Bootcamp.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Gaining weight because I ate out way too much. Also being stupid with money.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Recently, I had a bad cold/fever.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
IPHONE, hands down. I've never been so in love with something I purchased. Also my car, it's SO nice being able to own my car outright with money I made all by myself.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
I know this should be RL but can I just say Leslie Knope? She's amazing; I celebrated.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Politics mostly, the police in regards to Occupy (WTF is wrong with this country).
14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, food, gas, the basics.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
iPhone, car, Dev Bootcamp, Kurt/Blaine kiss.
16. What song will always remind you of 2011?
Rolling in the Deep by Adele.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. Happier or sadder? Happier.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Running, dating, saving, learning.

Eating out.

At home in NY, relaxing, watching TV/basketball.

Watching the ball drop on TV, relaxing, vidding my Festivid.

Not love but I did crush on someone.

24. What was your favourite TV program?
Parks & Recreation.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Yes, a certain manager at where I used to work.
26. What was the best book you read?
Hunger Games was AWESOME. Highly recommended. Also enjoyed the Steve Jobs biography and Built to Last.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Well I had heard some of her stuff previously but Adele's latest album has been on repeat a lot for much of the year.
28. What did you want and get?
A car and iPhone.
29. What did you want and not get?
My own apartment. Hopefully next year.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Probably Harry Potter 7 Pt. 2. Also enjoyed Bridesmaids, Midnight in Paris and Drive.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I went to Knotts Berry Farm with
runlilirun and then to the beach and a restaurant. I'm 24 now.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Love.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?
Hoodie and pants.
34. What kept you sane?
Friends, music, TV and LA.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
S3 has made me love Blaine/Darren even more.

Occupy movement.

My friends and cats.
