Brief Convention Highlights

I am really tired so this is going to be quick. Best moments of an AMAZING CONVENTION. Only Vividcon can top it and it's a close race.

-Meeting MINDY KALING - I told Mindy The Dundies was my favorite episode and she said it was one of the nicest things anyone had said and she would brag to BJ and Paul. I love that trio. And now I think Mindy is the best ever for her other appearances at the con. OMG love her!
-Meeting Melora again and having her REMEMBER ME! She actually remembered who I was from last March :D :D
-Watching Creed perform guitar and sing with The Scrantones as well as Kate sing and Darryl sing bringing the crowd into it.
-Watching the cast Q and A which was DAWESOME! Ed Helms sang like five times and now I have a mad crush on him. Darryl kissed Mindy like five times which was awesome (Oscar and Creed almost kissed muahaha). Angela and Brian were absolutely adorable and it was littered with TWSS moments and special shout outs to episodes. Also there were BLOOPERS. I cracked up so much.
-Seeing Ed Helms, Melora, Darryl and Brian (and co) perform with The Scrantones. Not only did they play the office song (I still love it playing repeatedly), Ed Helms was just too adorable and amazing. Melora was just a GODDESS and sang All Messed Up dedicating it to Michael AND putting in Michael references in the beginning and middle, singing Closer to You and dedicating to Michael and then singing another great song. I was in TOTAL heaven. Darryl got the crowd going with loud repeatings of "Ain't No Party Like a Scranton Party Because A Scranton Party Don't Stop!" and sang Crazy and another song. And then Brian came on stage and sang Roxanne and put SO much energy into it. And then Angela, Oscar, all the other performers except Melora (she already left) came onstage and sang and danced together. It was an amazing communal Office love moment.
-Bloggers Breakfast with Brian, Bobby, Kate (who is awesome in RL!) and Andy Buckly (CFO! CFO! CFO! best cheer of the con) who all shared stories and Brian took Tanster from Office Tally in his arm and faked kiss her (I don't know what the dancing move is called). He DID kiss Angela in the autograph signings in the same manner.
-Writers Q and A: No Paul :( :( :( but BJ came! And he and Mindy stole the show along with Michael Schur who is hilarious. Really interesting to hear. And then they showed 5-10 minutes of the next episode which is MINDBLOWINGLY AWESOME AND HILARIOUS. OMG I can't wait. And Mindy wrote it! Have I mentioned she's funny, cute, smart and adorable (she's like Kelly! Almost).
-Getting to see Poor Richards, eat pizza at Alfredos, get more autographs/pictures at the Radisson and hang out with lots of Office fans. I LOVE MY SHOW!
-Watching Dan in Real Life and melting half the time with the cuteness that is Steve Carell. My crush is back in full force!

This cast is simply the best ever. They CARE about the fans and love them so much. And we love them right back with TONS of applause and screaming and total adoration of them. There was so much thanks going all around. I am SO glad I went as I had one of the best times of my life. I'll be back next year as this is going on my annual con list with Vividcon. Yay The Office!

It was an awesome con overall. No words can really describe it. All I can say is everyone should come next year!

Oh! OH. See, I would have interesting things to say, but I can't get past how jealous I am...and now I'm grinning because it sounds like you had an amazing time and I love knowing how great the actors and writers and everyone are - so. I'm still jealous, but I'm unbelievably glad someone I know [just a little, at least] got to go. :D

I don't have anything else to say. I haven't even read this entry yet. :P

I totally get the jealously, I know that's how I would feel if I was in your shoes. I can barely believe it myself. I'm jealous of my past self actually. They are so amazing really and made so many people incredibly happy. So many smiles all weekend.

It was great! Better than I expected. Had some hilarious moments and was extremely cute in some places (usually because of Steve). The storyline was very nicely handled as well. It's no Little Miss Sunshine but it's charming all the same.

Melora singing to Michael sounds amazing. I can only hope that someone recorded it and it'll surface online. I'm dying to see it.

I listened to the audio of the Q&A and I can totally picture Jan singing and naughty lullaby to Michael. Oh my god. Fanfic must be written.

Aaaaanyway! I'm going to try to go next year. It sounds like it was a big success, so maybe more of the cast will go next year too.

Yeah, I'm so glad me and other people got the chance even though I wish people like you could have handled. Next year! OMG Melora singing to Michael. It rejuvenated all my M/J obsession squeefulness. There's Allison's clip on Youtube that Officetally links to but it leaves out some more of her Michael comments (like her saying Michael in a reeeally sexy voice halfway through the song) and the Closer to You song. And her dancing!!! I just...asflhgl. I was basically grinning with happiness the entire time. YES to the fanfic! That was awesome.

I'm definitely hoping some of the other cast will go too (STEVE!).

It was! Meeting Mindy and Melora was probably my favorite personal experience and one of the best of the con for me. They are both just too multi-talented and awesome. YAY Office is right!

LOL that was basically my entire nutshell. It was amazing experience after amazing experience that you had no way to express it except through loud claps and screaming. Mindy is MADE of awesome. I knew she was great but I didn't know how much so until this. She's just so adorable! And I KNOW about Melora. I did NOT expect that at all. She brought it up herself and everything.

They do! People say they don't but that's nonsense. This whole weekend they proved it. And yes DAWESOME sums it up as Ed Helms says. And YES! During the entire Dan in Real Life movie I was just like STEEEEEVE! Many times. I swear I was writhing in delight in my chair.

Awwwwww!!! This makes me happy and sad, and I reaaaaally wish I could have been there with you. I especially regret not being able to meet Ed Helms (and giving him one of my Cornell t-shirts to sign, hehe). But I'm SO glad you had a great time at the con, and it seems that at the very least transportation wasn't horrible (I hope it went perfectly smoothly). Awww... I will definitely come next year with you! :D

Yeah I wish that too. It would have been awesome if we could have met him especially you with the Cornell connection. The transportation went well besides the bus home being late and having to take a taxi and having to walk 20 minutes to Poor Richard's. But that's a lot better than most other trips I've been on so I didn't mind much at all. Yay for next year!

Awww omg I'm so glad you had fun! Melora remembered you?! How awesome is that!!! And Mindy *does* seem so super cool. I'm so happy this was such a good experience for you! :)

She did! I was blown away there and temporarily forgot what I was going to say to Mindy. She is! I cannot say enough good about her.

Only Vividcon although Escapade is on the almost every year I can list. I have to really have a passion for what the con's about and know people there for it to really make the experience amazing for me.

That's so awesome. Yay Melora for being so sweet and having an awesome memory! And that's great that you have friends to see at those conventions, I imagine that totally would make it worth the trip/cost :)

Lately my life is a mess and there are not a lot of reasons to celebrate, but your post just put a smile on my face.

You are so lucky and I so wish one day I'll be able to meet one (or two, three, or even four) cast members of that amazing show.

Melora is the best for remembering you (again you are pretty hard to forget ;)and Mindy seems super awesome and nice. Ed got me everything he sings ! I love when he does that in the show.

Oh and Steve... argh. I'm so jealous. (How is Dan in real life ?)

Aww I'm glad to hear that! I hope you'll come someday! Or at least have that experience. And awww that's so sweet about Melora. It did help that I met her personally and in a small setting but still...WOW. Mindy! *hearts* And Ed really wins me over with the singing. I remember watching Take a Chance and melting so much.

Dan in Real Life is good! It's very funny in places and charming and very, very cute with Steve melting hearts and being adorable all over the place. He dances!!! He sings!! I died.

YES very dawesome. I love my cast.

This sounds absolutely wonderful. I'm so glad you got to experience it, and through you I get a little taste. Now you have me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next episode (the last was all kinds of spectacular!!).

I'm amazed they are so willing to interact with their fans in this way. I havn't heard of this with any other show.

OMG THE NEXT EPISODE!! The taste of that I got has made me reeeeeeally want to see the next episode. And oh yeah, did I mention Joss Whedon directed it? It truly is hilarious from what I've seen.

They are! Unlike Randy lol ;) But yeah, they are so very thankful of the fan support and mentioned this many, many times and were super nice signing stuff and talking with people. I haven't heard of it either, the closest is Heroes and even they don't seem this close and generous.

I KNOW! It was only for a short while but just seeing it was surreal. The whole cast has been here! How cool is that. And Alfredo's pizza is delicious :) And the Radisson looks great! I love Scranton :)

I told her it was my favorite, I had watched it like 15 times and that whenever I had a bad day, I'd watch it and it made me feel better. And she was all happy to hear it :D I didn't mention The Injury because I didn't want to go on and on about her brilliance but it came up twice at her appearances so I think she gets that everyone loves it ;)

Your icon is so appropiate considering I now love those two actors so much more than I did before.
