Wow, this is so amazing. Uncensored yay! I hate those stupid censors because half the never time, I can never figure out what they were saying and that ruins the fun. And outtakes!! There had better be some good Colin and Ryan parts but I'm sure it'll be awesome. I seriously cannot WAIT to buy this dvd. I can finally have good source to make vids out of and enjoy the show on my tv and its all just too good. OMG dvd *squee*

Okay, now I'll go back to trying to catch up on LJ. This is why I don't go without internet access for so long. It truly is torture and I miss all the best news.

ETA: Also, I really missed all my internet friends *hugs* It's so great to read all your posts. I'm halfway through reading/commenting through all of them but I'm dead tired now so I'm going to go to sleep and finish it tomorrow.

Yes, your icon is extremely convincing. Can you give me your best short description of the plot/characters that would recruit me? Recruiting is good, don't stop lol.

Best short description...oh dear. Um.

Let me start with the characters.

Dave Lister: Last Human Alive. Third Techician.
Arnold Rimmer: Hologrammatic Crew Member, Lister's bunkmate. (They hate eachother, but the slash fans go nuts with L/R.) Second Techician.
The Cat: Highly evolved Cat. He's the guy in my icon.
Kryten: Cleaning robot. Doesn't appear until Season II.
Holly: Ship's computer. Is senile. Turns female in Season III.

And the setting.

Red Dwarf: Space Corps Mining Ship. Huge. Has a crew of around 100, or 1000, depending on your canon.
Time: They start in the 22/23/24 (pick one) century, but Lister gets frozen in stasis for 3 million years. The crew of the Red Dwarf died because of an accident. (Rimmer was revived as a hologram.) Lister was frozen in stasis because he smuggled a cat onboard. The cat was pregnant, and it survived the explosion due it's location. It's kittens bred and evolved, and three million years later, you get the Cat. (See characters.) Holly sends the ship out of the solar system, due to the radiation the accident caused. So now they're all three million years worth of travel away from Earth.

Confused yet? Watch the show. It's all very clear in the show, and I'm not explaining it all very well.

The show is a sit-com set in space, there are no aliens, and the slash abounds like it does in WL. WL fans should feel at home with RD. (No improv, but the humor is simular.)

Sounds interesting. And I understand the difficulty of condensing shows so no problem. Slash abounding will convince me to watch it like nothing else. I'll try to check out the Pilot in the next few days and see if it can hook me.
