The Wire: The slash, the eye candy, the love
Okay, that's it. Who's writing the Stringer/McNulty slash?

OMG! The scene in 305 when McNulty finally confronts Stringer in the copy shop? I am there and dying from the sexiness that is Stringer/McNulty. Ever since the two "Nicely done"'s I've had inklings of them as a slash ship and last season I started loving Stringer a lot in all his mastermind ways. Plus I asked him to take his shirt off and he did so I was very thankful. But then in S3, McNulty started obsessing over Stringer while following him around and my slash button was pinging (And Stringer looks damn good in those suits. Didn't Bunk and McNulty have a conversation about his love for fashion ;)). And THEN finally we get a scene of them together!! And I just...GUH. The smoldering looks! I love how McNulty smiles and smirks at him. And then Stringer asks him where he's living and offers to get him a place!! They really need to go find a place and make out STAT (means now!). And Stringer has such a sexy way of saying "I got some condos..." which has just destroyed me. "Real nice" *McNulty smile and look down* THE SLASH WRITES ITSELF! So freaking cute. "I had such fucking hopes for us" I KNEW this quote was about them! I almost missed it too. But they're way too important to miss. But yeah, so incredibly slashy with the couples interpretation. And Stringer's smile and laugh. Not to mention the sexy look McNulty shoots him on the way out. Like come and get me man. They could be amazing if their paths weren't so divergent. But they could still be totally hot together. I know this fandom is going to disappoint me with fannish output but how can people overlook this stuff??
Also, B and B enterprises! Hee. Avon/Stringer is still alive and well. McNulty's going to be PISSED at Avon getting out of jail though. I love everyone on this show although McNulty, Kima and Daniels are my main three along with Stringer and Avon not to mention Oscar. And speaking of pure eye candy, I am VERY happy at the amount of half-naked Daniels and Omar (OMG the scene in 303? KILLED me completely) I've been seeing. YUM *has drooled way too much* Speaking of Omar, the scene with him and the cigarette burns? Awwww. That's so sad. I love how the show brings back stuff and knows the characters. And oh, McNulty. He's such a noble, idealistic, idiotic fuck up but I love him. Kima and McNulty are definitely my favorite platonic pairing. They always have such awesome scenes together especially when they can connect personally. I do want to see more Kima though.
Another thing about the show that I love is that it has some hilarious moments sprinkled in with all the realism. Especially since a lot of them are character based. And I love how the show is so addicting without ending on big cliffhangers. It always leaves me wanting more so I can't help but see the next episode. And I love how it doesn't just focus on the work but lets us into the lives of the characters especially the little family moments that let you see what their lives are like and how they change.
My favorite quote so far: "Why don't they fly away?" "Their wings are clipped" :( :(
Also, I totally recognized the councilman as being Stuart from QaF UK. Right before I was about to check it out at IMDB. Yay for visual recognition from a pilot and a vid!
