More Alias thoughts and Sweet Charity

*stabs slow internet* This waiting for more Alias is like a horrible torture device. Especially when you get icon spoilered making you want to see new episodes SO MUCH OMG.



I love how the second that I start saying "I miss Jack", I get amazing Sydney and Jack or Jack/Irina scenes. Or infused all into Spyfamily moments! 312 was awesome for that very reason. I was SO happy to finally see another IMing scene and while it wasn't as awesome as the last, it was still wonderful to get their interaction helping Sydney (OUR daughter!). And then Irina's sister! That was super cool and a great way to keep the Irina connection alive (have I mentioned I miss her a LOT?). Plus she was awesome too. I swear, this whole family must know how to pass on the awesome genes. Also if you notice what Jack is reading while he's waiting, it's Alice in Wonderland! Like the one Irina gave to Sydney. Awww. And mmmm muscle shirt Jack! I love how Jack knows she's Irina's sister. But I loved her dig at him for not knowing who she was and "her love must have been intoxicating". Ohhh yes (still is!). And then I *loved* how Sydney just stared and than ran past Marshall to hug her father. YAY HUGZ!! :D Jack will always be there for her. And then he told her Irina found her! Awww Spyfamily moment :) I'm really not sure what game Irina's playing although I'm assuming it has something to do with Rimbaldi. I am getting REALLY sick of that guy. "Isn't that what family's for?" Hee, love it. But KISS! "That was from Irina" *squee* And then the other kiss! Muahaha. "Who was that from?" "Too many questions" LOL. That was the funniest moment yet in my mind. I love Jack's confused face. Poor Jack. He's just so fun to play with! You never know what real or fake in this family, there's no line.

I also absolutely loved Breaking Point with Jack rescuing Sydney at any cost. Spydaddy LOVE! The scene at the end was the cutest thing in the world. "You made it, Sydney" *arm around* Awwwww. I love them. I also loved the dream thing with Sydney's birthday party and seeing her father there. My favorite thing about that episode though was this priceless conversation with Vaughn: Jack "I used to think you didn't have much of a spine." "And has that assessment changed at all?" *quickly* "No." Muahahaha yes!! ROFL. *smile* Awwww, he's so cute! The love triangle plot still feels predictable and contrived and blah to me but I do like that Lauren is a spy, putting Vaughn in the same position as Jack and Irina so I look forward to see the reactions from that. My other favorite Sydney and Jack moment is when Jack asks to have dinner together. "I do eat you know" Awwww. And I love how he shows up at her apartment to eat! I can never get enough of them.

A few more Jack/Irina thoughts. In their first IMing session, I was interested in what exactly "distinguished composer looking for music lover" meant. I think Jack would be the composer of love, real love looking for Irina to love that kind of music. And then in the A Dark Turn hotel scene, I think it's hilarious how good Irina is when she says "Kendall's not as smart as you are" playing to his ego. Heh. But thankfully he's not too trusting putting in the passive tracker. And one of my favorite Jack stares down/cuts off Marshall moments was in 218 when Marshall says, "Hey, how'd you plant it without her knowing?" and Jack just stares at him like he's saying "Please." (and yes, I DO mean that in a Barney from How I Met Your Mother way). I miss them. And of course the icon spoiler is of them and now I reeeeally want to see it because it's a scene I've fantasized many times about *sigh*

Does any kind soul have any Jack/Irina fic recs with no spoilers up to 315? Or vids. Any Spyfamily or Sydney and Jack or Sydney and Irina fics/vids are good too. I'm desperate here.

Just a warning...you may not like the end of S5 very much. Lots of fans don't. But I hope it doesn't turn you off the show.

Yeah, I know. I am trying to prepare myself for it. Not liking S5 much sadly but the SpyFamily moments make it all worth it. I've had other shows though that burned out after a couple of amazing seasons and I still love them so I hope I'll be okay. I will try to erase it from my mind and remember the good times. I'm still really scared about watching the finale now though no matter how many times I imagine worst case scenarios or remember that the SpyFam/Rents will still be awesome no matter what. There is always fic too!

The good news is I am already planning a rewatch to get a friend into it :)

Yeah. I'm about as big a diehard fan as there is, and I haven't ever watched the finale more than once. I always stop watching after Only One Sydney Bristow...because I'm weak.

I do like the rest of S5, though--particularly seeing Syd as a mentor to Rachel and a friend to Renee. Also, Tom is cute.

IMO, S5 works a lot better upon rewatch, actually, because you already know the new characters and can get into their stories more. Of course, YMMV.

Maybe but the new characters aren't clicking for me at all. There have lately been some decent episodes and moments and I do like the double spy (or not) stuff going on so it's not too bad. And at least the baby is giving me some super cute Spydaddy moments :)
