There should be a longer post tomorrow but the latest episode of The Wire deserves its own post.



God, I don't even know what to say besides noooooooo. Not my Omar :( That just sucks. I mean, I knew he would die but like that? I can believe a random kid would do it, I've always been worried someone random would but it seemed out of place. It just seemed like his big fall without dying would serve some other purpose than to just get shot in a drug store by a 10 year old kid. I'd rather have him die there if this is how it would go down. I wanted him to at least kill Chris. Blah. I wish he had gone out like Stringer instead of leaving me shell shocked and empty. Definitely depressed my afternoon. Congrats David Simon, you succeeded on the there is no room in my show for hope front.

On the positive side, at least Kima isn't sucked in by the fake homeless plot. And the profile of the killer was HILARIOUS. I could not stop laughing at McNulty. Freamon was great with Clay (Sheiiiiiiiiit *loves*) too although the FBI guys SUCK. Despite everything, the show still is brilliant. Brilliantly bleak and depressing.

I should have known he would die just like that, I was in denial. I still say Jimmy dies by the end of the series though, man he cracks me up to no end but god lord, what does he really have left?

I know! I mean I thought David Simon would kill him in a non-hero like way but I wasn't expecting it so soon and I thought he would do one more big thing first *sigh* And yeah, Jimmy will probably die if not literally than metaphorically. If Beadie leaves and once this case is done...nothing. He should have stayed where he was in S4.

I love how this is bringing the old unit, the old original S1 unit, back together. And Poot got out! He has a job and a life and he got out. At least someone did.

Yeah that is nice. Everyone knows Omar. And it was awesome to see Poot! Hopefully he'll stay free of it :)

Yep, that was my reaction, too. I just wanted Omar to get SOMETHING out of it, you know? It was so pointless. Gah. On the other hand, I'm kind of relieved that at least his little letter thing may be of use in bringing down the larger group. I'm holding on to that tightly now.

I'm really glad Kima is pissed off about the homeless thing. And I was proud of Beadie, even if I was feeling sorry for Jimmy, too.

Right exactly! I really hope the letter thing is useful, it felt kind of insignificant but maybe I'm wrong *hopes*

I was SO happy about that. She's not McNulty, yay! I'm glad Beadie stood up to him although I feel bad for him as well. Oh, Jimmy :(
