Best Dundies Ever!

So I haven't been feeling The Office love lately, I don't know, the last episodes have disappointed me in various ways although there are things about each that I loved. But I just watched The Dundies and wow, did my love come flowing back. Everything is so perfect with Michael's hilarious but still lovable talking heads, all the amazing supporting character moments of glory that just define them all so wonderfully, the cuteness of Pam and Jim, Dwight's pure Dwightness, Jan's great phone calls (oh how I miss her) and how the writers and actors make me care so deeply for these characters. They put me in their shoes, they make me relate to them and feel what they're feeling. I am so in love with it all. This episode will always be my absolute favorite. It's cheered me up so many times in the past and certainly does so now. And it reminds me why The Office was and is my favorite show of all time. Nothing can ever be like this show to me.

I just wish we could go back to these kind of episodes while still being fresh. I am really looking forward to the finale and hope it's great. And as always, if you don't watch the show, you should check it out! It's amazing especially the glory that is Season two and three *goes to watch the next three episodes* I love how rewatchable this show is. I'm on my fifth (?) rewatch and it's never any less funny.

There is nothing I don't love about the second season of The Office, or the first, because it's magnificent - funny [/hilarious], heartbreaking, lovable - as are the characters. I love watching them over again and again and again [and the DVDs are sitting right next to me right now]. I've been feeling it less lately, yes, but I'm wondering if maybe it was too much to wish S4 was as awesome as the show has always been - how easy would it be to keep things fresh, still? I'm over wishing desperately for it, because I like S4 somewhat, and the show is still my favourite show, but...eh. Here's hoping the finale is awesome and makes me feel a little more psyched about S5!

Watching it again (got through The Client), it really is perfect. It never gets old. This is definitely the show I want to rewatch til eternity. Even if I'm not as obsessed as before, I still love it. It's not entirely about being fresh too...I feel like the stories are as complete or *meaty* and real as they have been and I wish there was more ensemble goodness. Some of the characters (Toby, Jan) aren't working as well for me either. And I did love the first half of S4 and this half has had some good episodes and great moments as well. Definitely hope with more time, S5 gets a lot better!

BTW I love how your posts are always so optimistic and full of love with the show :)

Ensemble goodness! My favourite episodes have either had brilliant individual character moments or brilliant ensemble moments, and I miss seeing those. :/ I guess that's a problem with any awesome TV show - you either keep the standard consistent, or there will be the occasional out-of-form season. It has to happen, right? So maybe they got out all their bad-vibes in this season and S5 will be kick-ass. Yeah? :D

Aw, thank you! :D I like how you never seem to snark about it, either! The steadily increasing not-so-much-love for the show has gotten to me in ways that have me thinking only for the best for the show, because I can't stand seeing others think otherwise, hehe.

The Dundies is one of the very best episodes. I love it to bits :D

Dwight, with his pure Dwightness, is someone I am growing to love more and more everyday. I found him amusing at first, but now he's probably my favourite character. I'm as hooked on this show as I was QAF, nothing stops me from doing my d/l on friday after work.

I've lost count of how many times I've watched it, but for me it only gets better. These days I even before the joke is out, because I know it's that funny. Season two is probably my fave - it's just full of awesomeness

Same here! Dwight has always been awesome but S3 really made me love him huge amounts and S4 has been making me really care for me. I'm glad you're as hooked! It really does only get better :)
