No Reason

Oh FUCK YOU SHOW, FUCK YOU. I cannot seriously believe that they killed off the ONLY duckling I've ever liked. The only one. FOR NO FUCKING REASON. WHAT THE FUCK? I am so pissed off right now. Oh great you went for the cheap emotional reaction and it worked, I'm crying but ugh whatever, this is totally bullshit. I really liked Kutner. He was cute, funny, geeky and smart and while he wasn't interesting, he was entertaining and that's all I asked for no. But NO they couldn't give me just ONE duckling to make the show a little bit more enjoyable in the medical plots. I HATE ALL THE REST OF THE STUPID DUCKLINGS AND WISH THEY WOULD ALL DIE. Seriously, I would have been quite fine, happy in some cases if they killed off Chase, Cameron (oh please god I hate her so much), Foreman, Thirteen or Taub or ALL of them preferably but nooooo they had to kill off the only duckling I like.

I am so full of rage right now. I keep thinking it was a dream with the dark lighting. I am officially mad at this show and the stupid writers. What was the point of even hiring him if they were just going to kill him off for no fucking reason? I certainly am not caring one tiny bit about any of these characters minus the OT3 and in fact hating everytime I see their stupid faces instead of Kutner. Just who even cares anymore? They have no respect for their characters. Ugh damn this show. If I could stop watching I would but I'm a fucking slave to my beloved House/Wilson. And if I thought I might get a bit of comfort there I was sadly mistake. Greatest part there was a good to see you from House. Is a hug too much to ask?

Fuck you show, fuck you. Thanks so much for your mental health PSA too, I'm sure that episode helped sooo much with stopping people from committing suicide. How about the opposite? Fuckers.

This is so not my night. I really, really need to get out of here.

I WANT TO KILL THE STUPID WRITERS. Who thought it was a good idea to write off my favourite duckling - in such a lousy way, at that?! People have defended the episode saying it's the fact that this came out of nowhere that makes it so "true to life" but this is fiction, and it was so unreal. Oh, Kutner's the happiest character, or the most cheerful and funniest one at least, so let's kill him!? wtf. I hated it, and I'm so, so pissed that they ended it this way.

What was up with the lighting, anyway. and DAMN IT. Hugh Laurie and Peter Jacobson were the only reasons this episode kept afloat for me.

They really need to kill Foreman or Thirteen. or Cameron. UGH.

So I don't watch the show or know the character, but I just wanted to chime in and say being super cheerful around people =\= not depressed enough to commit suicide. I said the same thing about a friend of mine in high school that killed himself. :\

(This isn't to say it wasn't an usual stupid TV stunt; I'm sure it was. XD I was just saying cause people sometimes assume that. A lot of depressed people hide it well in public.)

I understand that it doesn't apply in real life (and that depressed people are good at hiding things), but it annoys me that they removed one of the lighter aspects of the show for the 'shock factor'. I was talking about this to a friend and she pointed out the happy/cheerful =/= non-suicidal, therefore the show was authentic, and I know that first part's very true, but I expect clues and a build-up, even subtle chances of something like that happening, because this is fiction. Maybe I'm just showing that I should stick to being a literature student, seeing clues in everything. :P

I'm sorry, I'm probably going too into detail about this silly thing, heh. I'm just angry at the way 'depression' was handled on the show.

How good has Chuck been lately, though, huh? :P

[identity profile] traceace.livejournal.com 2009-04-07 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I hear you on how shitty some shows/movies/etc show depression. Like I said, I am so very sure this was handled badly, just wanted to bring up the point I did. It sucks, cause if played right, it'd probably would've been interesting - and sad - to watch.

But I'm pretty much used to how stupidly people deal with mental illnesses in the media. I'm just glad anxiety is so boring because people like me end up being hermits a lot, otherwise I'd be pissed. >_>;

omg right? I haven't seen tonight's episode yet since I work Monday nights, but I am way excited to see itttt.

heh, I hear ya. If it'd been written right, I've no doubt that it would've been both crushing and fascinating. Too bad it didn't get the chance.

DUDE. LOTS of awesome awaiting you, seriously. I love this show.

And by the way, have you seen the online 'memorial'/'obituary' they have for Kutner?! (here.) It's tacky and sickening, and even the notes are total crap. I'm just even more annoyed now.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2009-04-11 12:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not even checking it out, it makes me too angry. I just hate them.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2009-04-11 12:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Seriously, it was just to do a public service episode and that kind of treatment to Kutner really pisses me off. And I still don't find it true to life because people still have a reason even if it's medical. Why couldn't he just leave the show gracefully? Ughhhh. And major hate to the lighting.

So much agreement I can't even say.

[identity profile] dollsome.livejournal.com 2009-04-07 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
Man oh man, I'm glad I stopped watching this show earlier this year. That is just so horrible and inexplicable and SERIOUSLY, THE HELL?

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2009-04-11 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
There's been some good H/W stuff but this is really pushing it for me. Damnit show!

[identity profile] trustingno1.livejournal.com 2009-04-07 09:56 am (UTC)(link)
Have you read this (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/04/house-exclusive.html#more)? It makes me love Kal EVEN MORE.

Also, Kutner was a great character, goddamn. :(

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2009-04-11 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Some of it. Good for him but they didn't need to KILL him. Arghh it just sucks.

[identity profile] daybreak777.livejournal.com 2009-04-07 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I am so sorry. I didn't know that Kutner was such a fave. He always did have that sense of humor. I only hope they explore a bit why or what happened or at least have this affect everyone. It's hard to lose a fave but but it's even worse if he's never mentioned again.

Here are some hugs. *hugs* Rage away here if it helps.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2009-04-11 12:47 pm (UTC)(link)
My love for him just built up, I don't usually like the ducklings so I gradually started caring and loving his funniness. I didn't realize how much of a balance he kept between the good and bad on this show and now I'm going to be even more bored seeing stupid medical stuff.

Thanks for the hugs *hugs back*

I DON'T GET WHY THEY KILLED HIM.

HE WAS FUN. HAPPY. A BIT WEIRD, BUT SWEET. WHY.

Do you think it was for the cheap ratings? IT BETTER NOT BE. I'd take almost any other reason...!

Apparentely Kal Penn is going to work at the White House, which makes things better; still wish he hadn't died, though.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2009-04-11 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm guessing it was for the cheap ratings for the dying stuff. Which is total bullshit. Ughhh.

[identity profile] almostjulie.livejournal.com 2009-04-07 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Kutner was my favorite duckling too, but I'm okay with him leaving if Kal Penn wanted out to go work at the White House.

Can't say I was a fan of the after school special feel of it though -- made 1000X worse by that PSA.

I dunno. Buffy's my gold standard for unexpected deaths. This fell way short.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2009-04-11 12:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not okay with the dying after hearing that but it sucks he did his big change after committing to the show. It sucks even more that they never even gave him a good plotline.

Yep I haaaated. And ITA.

[identity profile] mozartfan1313.livejournal.com 2009-04-08 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
I stopped watching this show this season and, from the sounds of it, it was the right decision. How did he DIE? lol.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2009-04-11 12:49 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a suicide, he just shot himself for no reason. Even House couldn't figure it out. It's so stupid.

[identity profile] mozartfan1313.livejournal.com 2009-04-12 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
They didn't even try to make up a believable reason?

[identity profile] iamcrazyodo.livejournal.com 2009-04-08 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
*MASSIVE HUGS*
I almost never switch the TV on and haven't watched any show for over a year (with the exception of when you were here for a visit) so I didn't see that. However, I was told by friends who still watch the show that he left to work for Obama, so it's a good thing even though they (writers) handled it badly. Links were left her in the comments about it anyway. I was told the decision to leave the show was quite recent which explains that they (writers again) had to come up with something quickly.

Here's hoping something cheers you up very soon. :)

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2009-04-11 12:55 pm (UTC)(link)
*hugs back* Yeah its great for him but massively sucky for me. I just hate killing characters off for no reason other than PSA. They still had a few episodes to do something not to mention they've never given him anything good.

Thank god for trips to see friends!
