New Vid! Queer as Folk - Brian/Justin: "Volcano"

It feels like I've been working on this vid forever. Started it in May 2005 with WMM, lost it all when my computer files got erased, remade it only to have it get messed up in Premiere, remade it again and then finally remastered it with DVD footage. And yet I still love it and it's always been the vid that comes out almost exactly how I saw it inside my head.

The movement is amazing and your use of the source is great. I can't get over how great you are at handling the swishy camera moves from the source. I love the music matching and on beat motions. This song lends itself so well to vidding, I wish every fandom had a Volcano vid, preferrably made by you. The POV switches over smoothly and everything flows like it's liquid. I love the 1:22-1:34 dancing section editing and the hand on face section.

Thank you so much! I'm especially glad you like the movement as I really tried to use that. I definitely love the song but I've had more of my share of time with it. I was so freaked out for a year that someone would use the song to something else but thankfully just remixes were used (to great effect as I love your L Word one!). Now that it's out though, I would love to see more vids to it. Glad the POV switches were fine too. Thanks for the specifics, those were two of my favorite sections and I'm so glad you enjoy the vid :D

I've been trying to pay better attention to movement in vids to see how it works. I'm no closer to understanding it, but I can appreciate it more.

I really love the demo version of Volcano. And the CD version. And the live version. And the remixes. And every version ever possibly recorded.
