So here is the (first) vid I made for festivids this year. I initially had decided on a different song but after seeing heresluck's wonderful Kurt/Blaine vid, I realized I needed to find a new song that had the emotional appeal that shows why I love Max/Caroline. I find vidding so much easier and more fun when I'm in love with both song and subject which I able to do. It took me about 10 hours on Spotify trying to find the right mix of lyric relevance, fun sound but unique enough that Max wouldn't gag to it. Finally found this one which I love and captured what I wanted to show in their friendship.
This is the kind of vid that is all about vidding the good parts of the show. I recommend watching it for the wonderful chemistry of the actresses, their friendship and Max's general awesomeness (and I like the focus on "broke" characters for once) but the show has some serious issues. That being said, I love this relationship and I'm glad I got a chance to vid them!

So here is the treat vid I made for festivids this year. I had seen Top Chef S1 a few years back and picked up on the slash between Harold/Stephen towards the middle and enjoyed it towards the end. I was in the mood to watch the show again and thought it might be fun to make a treat vid so I started rewatching and was amazed to find they were slashy together from the first episode. It reminded me of the fun of slash, finding all those tiny moments that most would gloss over and seeing more. And of course I randomly heard this song on Pandora and it pinged me as a vid for them and then wouldn't leave me alone. So I clipped it all and then vidded it in the last couple days before the deadline. It was so much fun! I love them and if you haven't seen this season yet (or any Top Chef), I encourage you to do so! It's a good season full of great food and some enjoyable drama.
