House and Heroes

New House tonight! I am so jealous of the East Coast people at the moment because I can finally watch House live and yet I have to wait. I can't wait to get some more House/Wilson/Cuddy action. Also, Foreman! If you had told me when I first started to watch House that I would end up loving the ducklings, I would have said you were nuts. But now I have a fondness for all of them with Foreman rising above to be my favorite. He's just so awesome sometimes. S3 wasn't as bad as I heard mostly because I could care less about how realistic the medical plots are, enjoy House being an asshole and addict (and don't mind him staying that way) and at least the Tritter arc hooked me into continuing to watch. And a request. Does anyone know where to find any House/Wilson and/or House/Wilson/Cuddy OTP/OT3 icons?

The House's father abusing him was very WTFy. I hate giving people lame reasons like that for being who they are. I choose to ignore it in the grand scheme of things. Wilson's *betrayal* caused me to hate him back in the Tritter arc but I do understand it so now all is forgiven. I am so amazed at all the delicious slash this show gives me. The bathroom scene with House and Wilson blew my mind quite happily with the Village People. Half-Wit was just so great (minus the kiss *blech*) with Foreman's "I like you", Chase's hug (hee!), Cuddy's hug (double hee!) and then House taking that small step was too cute. "House would do Wilson before you'd do Chase." *squee* I think I may have died a little. And since she DID do Chase, House totally would do Wilson muahaha. The lack of House/Wilson in Airborne was distressing but the great things about threesomes is that's okay because Cuddy was there with fabulous snark, a bit of sexy and cute little faux ducklings. Act Your Age was completely full of OT3 love not to mention beautiful House/Wilson slash that made me so happy. House gave Wilson flowers! To fuck with his mind in perfect House fashion.

House: "Seriously?"
Wilson: "No."

Continues to make me laugh happily every damn time. Oh, House. You're so gullible when you're emotionally involved. I've always enjoyed House/Cuddy but never quite saw the romantic angle but this season has made me really see it. He is so totally jealous of her being with someone else. And Chase/Cameron is actually mildly entertaining. But as I say, ANYTHING but House/Cameron. Anything. In the end, I just enjoy my House taking down everyone and everything in his path no matter what crazy things the show throws at him.

I've been looking into House fandom a bit and it's nice to see House/Wilson have such a strong following and actually dominating in some cases. I mean, it is practically canon (at least to me) and I do love the slash happy writers but it's just nice to have some equal ground in terms of canon with het couples. I find it interesting how fandoms are structured according to shows. House has all the competing ships for his love interest and then you have a show like The Office where there's a bunch of different non competing ships. The latter definitely helps with less fights. Not to mention, I watch The Office in a much more optimistic fashion while House is perfect for my inner cynic.

Loved this episode! This episode definitely showed me why I'm watching the show for the plots with some character love on the side. All the twists and turns make it so exhilarating and fun to watch! Although I admit sometimes I forget some of the characters name...it has been a long time since I've watched the show though and they all blend together sometimes.

The Mr. Bennett plot was awesome and proved why he's still one of my favorite characters. I loved him being the brains for the operation and Ted with the EMP was too perfect. Mohinder on the ceiling SPN style was nice. I can't believe the guy keeps trusting the wrong people. He's lucky he's pretty. I'm really interested in grandma Petrelli (name?) and what her past and powers are. Peter "dying" was heartbreaking and the Petrellicest was out in full force with Nathan's reaction. I just love how touchy he is and how "I can't live without you" his speech was. Poor Claire, too. She does not have the best luck. Linderman also seems like a great villian and I especially enjoyed his motivations for allowing NYC to blow up. It doesn't fly with me (here or in X/1999) but its more interesting than just wanting power and/or money. Sylar's painting was so freaky and such a great surprise. Not enough Hiro but it was great to see him at the end. I love time plots and whether things are destiny or not so I'm really enjoying that aspect of the show. I can't wait for next week!

In The Office news, the show is taking over my icons. It's already got at least half and I wish I could add so many more. I really can't wait til this Thursday. Watching two episodes per day can only do so much. I need new episodes NOW. Also, I need to stop reading the TwoP spoiler thread. I have never been so amazed at how much time people can spend talking about JKras's hair and Jim/Pam/Karen when I could care less. But the lure of spoilers gets me everytime. Come back, Office, I neeed you.

You will definitely enjoy tonight's House.

I'm with you on the pairings but not the ducklings. I mean, I hate hate hate the ducklings; to me, they are vile, bad people, and I have no sympathy for any of them. But I'm fine with a House/Cuddy pairing or a House/Wilson pairing; they're all charming. House/Cameron freaks me the fuck out and when I see some fandom advocacy for House/Chase ... well, that's the stuff nightmares are made of.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Eeee I can't wait! *15 more minutes* See I can't hate them, I'm mostly just bored by them. I do enjoy when House shows that they are idiots though. But lovable idiots. But yeah, House/Cameron freaks me out too (usually in a gagging fashion) and House/Chase? I don't see it so I'm not bothered by it. I see House as too above any of his subordinates for anything to ever be possible with them.

Yes, exactly. The Cameron thing feels like child molestation. And no, I don't see any Chase chemistry either, but there's a fan contingent for it and it bothers me for the same reason the Cameron thing bugs me. And I think they're all vile people....

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
Well I wouldn't put it down as that bad, I just don't get it and think House/Cameron is a bad dynamic. But thankfully House gets that so I have faith it won't matter. Ignoring them then works nicely for me. I just can't believe there are so many.

House tonight was good. And I'm right there with you on the Foreman love. I'm much more a House/Wilson/Cuddy girl, but as far as the ducklings go, Foreman's the one I'm interested in.

I really need to start watching The Office.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
It was great! Especially with the wonderful House/Wilson/Cuddy parts. Foreman was good too though, I agree about being most interested in.

Yes! Watch! It really is the best show IMO. And it seems to intersect nicely with House fans.

Wow you are spoiled for The Office? I run from Office spoilers. I don't want to know!

I lurrrvveee Heroes. And I knew that Peter couldn't really die because Future Hiro knew him. And yet, even though I knew that, I was spent half the episode trying to figure out how he could still be alive.

Sylar is hot. Sorry, but he totally is.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, its the only fandom that I'm spoiled for. I have to know because I can't take the 6 week hiatuses and even 1 week waits are bad. Plus The Office is SO amazing that being spoiled doesn't really affect my reactions to seeing the show, just spreads out the effect (which is HUGE) more.

Oh I knew he couldn't die but it was crazy that he almost did and people thought he had. I'm glad Claire figured it out. And yeah, Sylar is definitely hot. No need to apologize there.

OK, I watched Heroes and love Heroes and I watch House and love House [oh, God, I was thinking I may be one of the only people who cannot take House/Cameron - why do so many people move to that ship as soon as they start watching the show?!] but I'm in the college library and I have three minutes left - I shall spend this time talking about The Office, obviously -

All the threads in TWoP are unbelievably entertaining, but hee, the spoiler thread can get a little more addictive. I haven't gone there since The Negotiation, actually, because of - time - but it cracks me up how every time, they come up with lovely-sounding speculation, they're completely disappointed when the writers bamboozle us with something completely unrelated [although later they'll say yes, this was another awesome move of the genius!writers], and next time, they'll do it all over again. :P

Also, oh, crap: I barely handled six weeks, and actually I handled the six more than these two [maybe because it's so close to the freaking finale OMG.], and I'm certain I'm going to watch episodes like crazy before we even get the finale on May 17th. And then there'll be three months. And those three months are going to be a painful, painful, painful stretch.

Eep, how can I possibly manage to talk so much about something you've mentioned in four lines!?

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
There a ton of people who hate House/Cameron, thousands who are House/Wilson and House/Cuddy shippers at the very least. So you're definitely not alone there (thank GOD).

I could talk for hours about The Office as well as read about it so I certainly don't mind the length :) I skim a lot of the speculation because it's really not my thing and it tends to repeat the same things but it is amazing how long it can go for. The writers are surprising and that's what I love about them so I tend not to engage in wild spec.

I have no idea how I handled the hiatus and this mini one is indeed hell. It's like they dangle a little bit of new perfection in front of us and then force us to be without for another two weeks. Such a tease ;) Reading spoilers and watching preview clips is about the only thing that gets me through it so I make it through all the talk, just to read about my show some more. I'm trying to deny the summer hiatus because I can't even imagine going through it. Thank god its summer or I'd never survive.

I don't know, it seemed like I was - a lot of House/Cameron shippers are the people who greeted me right at - my entrance to the fandom, if you will - and I'm still a newbie, considering I've only watched around the first ten episodes of the first season [heh], but that made a very fast impression - so obviously the most popular 'ship in the fandom is something I don't really like at all - but it's nice to know there're more people than just the few I managed to encounter [including you!].
I obviously have to watch the other episodes I have on my computer.

I adore the writers, so I don't speculate much, eithers - but the wilder speculation is amazingly fun to read. Any appearance of the DoL [Desking of Lovin'] makes me snort.

hehe, such a teae is right.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Well you probably have more House/Cameron people on your Flist. If you check the House/Wilson vs House/Cameron communities, House/Wilson has more members so it is pretty equal. I don't think it's really the most popular ship at all in terms of fandom. Definitely watch more episodes!

[identity profile] vestigial.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
The bathroom scene with House and Wilson blew my mind quite happily with the Village People.

OMG YES. Wilson is now a canonified Village People fanboy. I loved that. There was a post last month or so at [livejournal.com profile] house_wilson about how the writers are all shippers as well, just like the fandom. And all the relationships are on equal footing like you mentioned, which is nice, but it can get pretty irritating when they just 'pander to the ships'. Sometimes I wish they'd just stick with one 'ship and get on with it. That said, I still love the nods to House/Wilson (RAMPANT SLASHINESS. ALL SEASONS.) which one does not normally get with any other show.

YES I MAY OR MAY HAVE NOT MADE SENSE HERE.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't mind pandering if its House/Wilson/Cuddy but everything else I don't really care about. I'm glad they don't pick one ship, for one in that it helps the fandom from exploding and also as it does keep the ships more equal. Of course it also allows for so much hope in a pairing that I'm worried when they do go with a ship. I trust House in not being a super romantic guy and one who doesn't need a romantic relationship to help keep it balanced for now.

[identity profile] spookster831.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Tonight's ep is great for House/Wilson!

If the writers ever do House/Cameron I might have to go hide in a cave.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
I know, I loved it! I'm so glad they're continuing to give them a great plotline which will hopefully continue into the season finale.

Ugh, yeah me too. Last time I only got through it by laughing at her stupidity. I don't want to have to do that again. Not to mention the crazy fans.

[identity profile] mozartfan1313.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
I fully support House/Cuddy and I'm loving the House/Wilson/Cuddy that has been going on the last couple of episodes. And I agree with you about Foreman. He's definately the best duckling. :) I'm not a fan of Chase or Cameron, together or apart. Blah.

And, if you have too many Office icons, so you mind if I borrow one? I'm looking for one of Dwight/Ryan together. :)

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, the OT3 is definitely the best. Unfortunatly I don't have any Dwight/Ryan icons but check in The Office icon community under The Fire and Diwali, either the tags or in the archive after the episodes came out. You should find one then.

[identity profile] spectralbovine.livejournal.com 2007-04-28 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
I'm really interested in grandma Petrelli (name?)
Angela. But, really, we just call her Mama Petrelli.

I love time plots and whether things are destiny or not so I'm really enjoying that aspect of the show.
Heh, me too.

I can't believe the guy keeps trusting the wrong people.
See icon.

[identity profile] anoel.livejournal.com 2007-04-28 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
That's good as Angela just reminds me of The Office. And I love the icon, that's so him haha.

[identity profile] caelieth.livejournal.com 2007-04-28 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Dunno if you'll be interested, or whether you have lots of your own, but [livejournal.com profile] dj_capslock has tons of caps from The Office and House.
