I hate this world.

So the Pushing Daisies ratings are in and they're horrible. Fuck.

I thought I was over being worried about the ratings last year, it did alright but now...6.3 million viewers overall, 2 million 18-49, 1.7 18-34. To have a decent chance at renewal, they need at least 3.5 million for 18-49. What is wrong with the world? You can blame it on marketing/promotion or the world in terms of how can people not watch such a perfect show but either way it really sucks. I feel so powerless like nothing I can do can change this and I really, really, really don't want to lose this show. I'll willingly work in a save our show campaign, it does feel like The Office in early S2 with no one seeing it but I don't have a lot of hope it'll work.

I'm seriously crying about this. I fell in love with the show again last night and I love it more than almost anything else. It's like this beautiful, fantasy, imaginative world that I can go into, a wonderful fairytale like the books of my youth. I wish I could live there sometimes, it's that perfect. It has one of the most romantic, charming couples I've ever seen that make me smile so much that it warms my heart, the most brilliant and witty dialogue, the most original and uniquely decorative sets ever, funny and delightful characters, singing and musical references and a dark, mysterious edge. Basically, EVERYTHING. It's made of hearts and flowers and love and pretty and I want to keep it safe so no one can hurt it. This must be what Firefly felt like. God, I'd give up all my other shows minus The Office to keep this show on air. It's not fair! It's only had a half a season, at least SGA got five seasons.

I don't want to lose my show :(

Noooooooooooooooo! I love that show SO MUCH, and last night's ep was fantastic! *wail*

It had to've been Bones that beat it; it sure as hell couldn't have been Knight Rider or New Adventures of Old Christine, right? Because those two weren't doing well, either.

I'm hating the whole ratings-driven network TV industry right now. Everything that seemed to be on the verge of cancellation when the strike happened, and was given another chance, seems to be tanking. I'm fully expecting the same thing to happen to Reaper.

Oh viewers, why so unimaginative? *sigh*

That's not so good. But don't panic! *shelters you* Hopefully things will swing upwards from here.

I'll help with the "save our show" campaign!

That's terrible. I have class on Wednesday night, so I *still* have not been able to watch the premiere, but it really is such a beautiful, magical show. I hate that it's not getting the audience it deserves.

I love PD as well and was very sad to read the news...such a bummer :(

It's such a shame that it's so hard to get people to watch good shows, yet crap like Grey's Anatomy and Law & Order just drivel on forever.

Oh man. I thought it did better last night but I guess that was just wishful thinking on my part. Must vid pushing daisies to make myself feel better. *pouts*

I think most things would be down after the strike? I know I'm only watching three shows as they air that I watched last year and one new one (which is The Colbert Report and not technically new), I think it's probably too soon to worry.

I am so upset by SCC cancellation rumors, so I feel your pain.

*Hugs* I went through that with Sports Night. It hurt like hell.

But if it's being Tivo'd so people can watch both that and Bones...doesn't that count for something, too? And Nightrider's ratings will go down after the first night, I'm sure. Has anyone seen that show? Is it any good? I say we hold out a couple more weeks and see the trend before worrying too much.
