Two vidding questions and vidtalk

Two vidding questions of the day:

1) What is your definition of a crack vid?

2) What are your favorite Lord King Bad Vids?

CVV vid clipping should be done today, yay! Since I'm soon to be vidding, I've been thinking about pacing and vidding to the beat and such. In dance clubs, there's usually a strong beat and I know I want to hit that a lot but at the same time I don't want to clip in the same place and make it repetitive. I read somewhere that it's not how fast the video clips are but rather that they're placed at different lengths and the pace varies that determines how fast the vid comes across to the audience. So I will be trying to do that to keep it fast moving and fun to watch.

1.) Funny and crazy. For example, an over-the-top constructed reality vid strewn with special effects. I'm having trouble with how to phrase this: it's crack when you're not supposed view the vid on its own terms. Does that make any sense?

2.) Man in Motion may be my favourite, but You Only Tell Me You Love Me When You're Drunk (http://sweetestdrain.livejournal.com/154965.html) comes close, because OMG SO TRUE.

...You know, it could be argued that every "vid" made outside of fandom falls (not necessarily intentionally) under one of these two categories. :P

Two perfect words for it. I don't get that sentence though, can you explain it more?

Oh I looove those two. Forgot about that second one.

How about this: When watching crack vids you aren't expected to suspend your disbelief, because they are purposely beyond belief.
