End of the Year Meme 2017
Brief life update time: The depression has been on and off for the last two months but I'm feeling better currently although it was pretty bad a couple days ago. I'm doing some freelance work which has been going really well and helping with money. I'm still really lonely and wish I was in a romantic relationship.
1. What did you do in 2017 that you'd never done before?
Lived in NYC, did some fun new sex stuff, came out to my brother, participated in a huge political march and I met Troye Sivan.
2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I started strong but depression screwed me up so no. For next year, I would just like to date and exercise more, at least 3x a week.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousin had another baby.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Vividcon :(
5. What countries did you visit?
None this year.
6. What would you like to have in 2018 that you lacked in 2017?
A romantic partner.
7. What date from 2017 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
October 11th because it was my birthday and I had an amazing threesome :)
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Staying alive honestly. Otherwise, moving to NYC, having more fun with sex, losing weight, making some vids and letting go of beliefs about myself that weren't serving me.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not finding a romantic partner.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Severe depression and a cold.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
VVC and TGIF/F registration, plane costs, etc because it's always amazing to spend time with friends.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My friends especially those closest to me who kept me alive when I felt completely alone.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Still anyone who supports Trump, racism, etc and also the sexual assaulters who came to light.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, food, vacations, transportation, the usual.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Sex, TGIF/F and Vividcon.
16. What song will always remind you of 2017?

i. Happier or sadder? Sadder.

Dating and working out.

Being lonely.

I vidded, exchanged presents with family, had dinner and watched basketball and La La Land with family. Also I watched Love Actually.

Hanging out with a friend and I may be going out to hang out later with a different friend.

More sex, more time with good friends, living in NYC, a job I like, some weight loss and good times at cons.

Had a threesome and a Wonder Woman themed birthday party with friends in NYC. I turned 30.

Finding a romantic relationship.

I mostly disconnected from politics because it was all so bad and I was in a bad place. The #MeToo stuff was emotionally affecting though.

My friends and my mom.

My new TGIF/F friends and a cool new person in NYC who loves Myers Briggs like me.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2017.
It's okay to let go of long hold beliefs if it helps me be happy. And I need to make my most important goal finding a romantic partner as having a deep connection like that is what I want most.
