Today is an awesome day.
For so many reasons. First of all, happy birthday
heresluck! I hope you have an awesome day and a great year full of vidding and great food, music, books and tv shows. It was so wonderful to meet you at Vividcon and I am still constantly amazed (and entertained) by your vids. May there be many more to come!
I am still on a high from the last Office episode. I still can't believe this show gets better and better every single week. Not to mention making me love Michael more and more.
Oh, Michael. Just a little importance and attention goes to your head. But you're so happy about it that I can't help but smile :) "Visiting professor special lecturer emeritus" Hee. "So I'd be stupid not to do it...right?" Nope, pretty stupid Ryan. I absolutely adore Michael's "cool teacher" speech and how clueless he is in his choice of a role model. "It really ruined eighth grade for us" LOL. "Would an idiot do that? And if they would, then I do not do that thing." Oh, Dwight how I LOVE you. His admiration of Michael is hilarious. "May your hats fly as high as your dreams." *cracks up* So cliche and lame but yet cute especially how happy it makes Michael to think he's so smart. And I love the tickling mancrush. Hee.
Oh, Pam. Your camera interviews are so telling even if what you say is completely untrue. The "solid foundation" just gives more reason for her going back to Roy and her lack of excitement about it indicates that she does know that it's not the right thing to do. She'll learn soon I'm sure. And then Michael with his "brings back so many memories...that I would have made." Aww Michael. He wants so much to be a smart and cool college student. "Animal stool." Hee. Dwight falling down was made of funny and everyone's reactions were hilarious with Angela's stop, drop and roll, Stanley leaving immediatly and Creed leisurely watching. My love for all the characters grows every week. Speaking of, awww Michael with his "he looks like he's really into it." *smile* I heart you, Michael. "Poop is raining from the ceilings. Poop." Hee!
Michael with his music and then the accidental, "I am Michael Scott...I am Brandon..." was hilarious. The textbook ripping was the most cringeworthy part for me because I know how expensive those are and he just kept doing it. But it was still funny so I don't care. Michael's miscountings were hilarious with the "four kinds of business" and "hospitals slash management". WTF Michael but so funny. "One crisis at a time" and Dwight's Sylvania quote was just perfect and makes me love Dwight all the more. I really liked how Michael's speech began that you need a building and something to sell and then how later at the art show, he states, "That's our building. We sell paper." (LOVE) to complete his love for his company and family. The candy bar demonstration was too cute. Michael is such a little kid, he loves that kind of thing. I especially love how he hit that one kid with the candy bar. The beanie babies reference was so funny, he's always so behind on the times. "Forwarding funny emails" was soo Michael and my favorite funny/smart moment of the night was "real business is done on paper, okay. Write that down." *EVERYONE types it into their laptop* Hee!
"I shot one once. But by the time I came back, it turned back into my neighbor's dog." LOL Dwight. He's so horrible that its funny. Creed and Dwight made the best team EVER. I love how Creed ruins Dwight's grand speech. "We don't want them back. They are stupid." Hehe aww Michael. Poor Michael learning about Ryan's *betrayal*. I just loved Kelly with her "It's a living things with feelings and a family...KILL IT KILL IT" LOL. Too funny. "Dunder-Mifflin is here to stay...David will always beat Goliath" Oh yeah. At this point I was rooting for Michael, standing up to protect his company. I believe and love this company, this family even if they don't have a chance in the future. I am all too familiar with those smug, pretentious students and it was great to see Michael *battle* with them. Michael's five things America is facing, "Al-Quaida, global warming, sex predators...mercury poisoning" LOL Too funny. I love how he makes it all so grand and important until the last one. "Dunder-Mifflin is the big picture" was awesome with how it came back in the end with Michael putting up a picture of Dunder-Mifflin.
Michael's tirade against Ryan was hilariously horrible. I can't blame him though, he was angry and hurt that he would turn against him. "And everybody thinks he's a tease" LOL Oh, Michael. "So suck on that!" is just perfectly Michael getting so upset and wanting the last word. "Business is always personal. It's the most personal thing in the word." Well that just sums up Michael in a quote. It works great with making sales but not so much for doing work. Definite ouch moment when he "fired" Ryan though. Dwight getting his broom stake was hilarious with his "Jim is on a path now. An eternal journey." was too funny with Dwight making up stories of grandeur. Poor Pam too with no one showing and Roy rubbing it in accidentally. I don't blame Roy, he is who he is and sadly he's not right for Pam no matter how cute his "Your art was the prettiest art of all the art" is. Dwight, Meredith and the bat was just LMAO at how horribly funny it was. This show pwns all, it really does.
Aww the Michael and Ryan scene was great. And I looove Michael moving Ryan with Kelly. Perfect punishment. Ryan's problem is that he doesn't care about anything. He has no passion or belief or anything. He says he wants to start his own business but you have to be excited about something, have a unique idea if you want to start your own business. "People will never go out of business." My favorite quote of the night because of how much Michael believes it and how true it is. That's how Michael connects to others because he never does see the cold business side, only the people involved. Great contrast with Oscar and Gil (so cute!) who even though he was mean and Oscar truthful, Pam really needed to hear it. I really do hope this is a turning point for her, that she will see going back to Roy is not couragous at all. And I'm sure Pam could do something more unique and original with her art as well if she tried.
The Michael and Pam scene was one of my favorites EVER. "Pamcasso" Awww. Michael's awe and happiness for her drawings came through so well in this scene that I couldn't help but grin madly the entire time with my heart melting completely. Especially when he saw the Dunder-Mifflin one and wanted to buy it :D Oh, Michael. My love for you reached sky high heights there. "There's my car!" :D *laughs happily* I loved Pam's smile there. "I am really proud of you" made me cry, it really did. It was just the sweetest thing ever and he really does mean it with all his heart. The hug was way too cute. I love how this show can make me laugh so hard and yet have real, emotional, genuinely touching moments. What I really love about the Michael/Pam relationship is that it has a parent/child relationship, now on both sides. Pam cares for Michael and his feelings by not connecting him on the phone immediatly and helping with the bird funeral while Michael told her the one thing she needed to hear, that he was proud of her, to show she did accomplish something. Because even though Pam's art wasn't a big step forward for her, it was still something for Pam to take art classes and show them to a crowd.
Nice to see people loving Michael again. This show just makes me so happy. After I saw this episode, I went to this ice cream social on my floor because I was in such a good mood and believe so much more in *people*. I had a lot of fun too, I gave my Office DVDs to my RA to get her to watch the show and played Spoons with some people which was great. Nothing like an intense card game to make the day better. This month has been SO WONDERFUL because I love almost every day. I like my classes, my work, my friends and my show that always cheers up my day. Not to mention it was a beautiful 80 degrees today :D Life is wonderful. Especially with the weekend here. It makes me so happy knowing that in less than a week I'll be at Escapade! Watching a huge shipper squee episode of The Office and then Grey's Anatomy and Supernatural with fans :D I can't wait to be in a fannish environment again.
Also a HUGE reminder for everyone to sign up for Vividcon this Sunday, February 18th at 1 PM EST/10 AM PST. If you love vidding from watching vids to making vids to reading vid meta, this is the convention for you. I am still reeling from going to Vividcon last year for the first time where I had the time of my life. Seriously, it is that good. I know of nothing to compare to seeing your favorite vidders and vidfans, watching (new) vids on big screen, talking about vids all day long and being in a general fandom-loving, vid-loving environment. It was worth every penny of my money and more. I would definitely recommend staying for as long as you possibly can. If you feel jealous hearing about Vividcon, it probably means you should come. So set your alarms, get your friends to remind you, have a friend sign you up if you can't be at your computer at that time. Just make sure to register early as last year it sold out in about 5 hours and this year it'll probably be sooner. I really, really can't wait for Vividcon now. Is it August yet?
Also?
