Finished Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: HOLY SHIT. Okay, I get it now. Wow, perfect ending.
At Vividcon OMG!! Amazing so far. My vidshow this morning, hope it goes well. Writing a con report each night so it doesn't take me a year, Thursday is done. OMG CAN'T WAIT TO SEE PREMIERING VIDS!!

Vividcon tomorrow. I can't believe it. It snuck up on me. I somehow managed to completely forget I had to finish T:TSCC before any vids premiered because I know for a fact that there will be huge spoilers. So I'll be watching all the episodes on my iPod tomorrow while in transit (I'm on 214). I'm still waiting for the awesomeness to hit me over the head but there are some cool things in it.
Ohgodohgodohgod Vividcon is TOMORROW! Of course I did not finish my last minute preparations but instead thought that turning on American Idol to watch in the background was a good idea. This is because I decided to let go and get into Adam Lambert and Adam/Kris fandom even though I knew it'd overwhelm me. I can handle the fanfic but seeing Adam perform? Holy shit! The episode I watch is of course the one where Adam sings Feeling Good, one of my favorite songs in a smoking white suit. And I was gone. It's just the moment right when he says good and the lights shine on him and his face turns into the SEXIEST look I have ever seen. It says "I'm going to fuck you and you're going to LIKE IT" and it's just...*bursts into flames* I squee everytime, I can't even help it. He's totally my kryptonite just like I knew he would be. I am falling quickly into Adam love and the only reason I'm braking is because it's VIVIDCON TOMORROW OMG why is this happening to me now?
Anyways, I'll try to catch up tomorrow I guess. Will arrive tomorrow hopefully at 12 but in any case am going to do touristy things with ![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png) svmadelyn and others and will be back around 9 or so to hang out and see people. Still haven't decided on a schedule but will most likely be all panels and planning on watching non-attending premieres before dinner if possible. Zen about my Club Vivid vid at least and super excited for all the premieres and seeing new people. Over 100 vid people and over 70 new vids (or close to it)? So much heaven there.
Can't wait to see everyone at Vividcon! Hugs are great and I'd love to talk with anyone there so if anyone ever wants to hang out, just let me know and I'm there :)
ETA: And oh god, I just read the BEST House spoiler and now I'm jumping around in the best mood I've been in a loooong time. House + Adam + Vividcon = Happy Ashley. How the fuck am I supposed to go to sleep??? |

I watched Fringe awhile ago but my unspoilery reaction was I thought it was really boring. The only thing saving it for me was my love for Pacey as Joshua Jackson was great and cute along with seeing Lance and Kirk again. The lead actress felt really really bland and the "science" type stuff was either lame, gross or both. The twist at the end was okay but I really hope the series picks up after a few episodes. At least Alias and Lost both had great Pilots so this was a disappointment from JJ. I've learned that if I love the characters I can stick with his shows long term and if I like the plots I can stick short term and so far neither of them is working so I hope one does and soon.
Also I watched True Blood awhile ago as well and wasn't impressed. The good thing is I love the concept so I'm hoping the show will pick up once it finds it's feet. The writing didn't seem that great to me though, surprising coming from the Six Feet Under guy but mostly I HATED the "meant to be" main couple. I am just getting so sick of being told two characters see each other and all of a sudden they're in love or some such nonsense. Give them common personality traits and common interests and some chemistry cause I'm not seeing it. The sex seemed rather gratuitous too. I'll keep watching and see.
In my spare time, I have gotten completely addicted to Sex in the City. I am beginning Season 5 and I just can't stop. It was supposed to be my fun show to watch once in awhile and now I can't get enough. I love the focus on relationships and how they'll discuss any aspect of sex. The fashions are wonderful too as is recognizing stuff in NYC. I love them all really besides Charlotte whose a bit too marriage n'babies for my tastes. And I reeeally didn't want to get invested in the Carrie/Big thing but DAMN THEM, they got me hooked onto their whole drama. Their lack of communication drives me up the wall though but gah Big can be so damn sexy and charismatic. And the most charming character I've ever seen. I am utterly charmed. He can be my Prince Charming any day.
OMG I can't wait til House!! A girl from my newspaper got to watch the first two episodes ahead of time to review them and now I'm sooo jealous and wish I had applied for the position as it's not that difficult (as in I could do better than them). I can't believe the day is finally here when I get to see my show in realtime again and squee madly at House/Wilson. I've been thinking about it all day and was counting down the days all week and now it's finally here OMG. I missed that feeling of excitement at a premiere, knowing that I finally get more ship love that'll make my day. And I need it as my day has been crap and full of self-loathing. But this will definitely cheer me up. Wish people wouldn't be doing that Supernatural quote meme when all I can think of is House so here's my House quote:
Wilson: "You can be a real jerk sometimes, you know that?"

anoel. When I was in 9th grade I was looking for a special internet username for myself and since I loved lions and felt I was one in a way, I wanted one to represent that. So I played around with the Spanish word for lion, leona and when I spelled it backwards it came out to anoel which I liked. Plus it was an A name and I like those for myself.
If I add 43 to it, that's because it's my favorite number. I got it when I was 9ish and I was in love with a book in the Sweet Valley Twins series, Elizabeth's First Kiss because it was really romantic and I had a crush on the guy in the book/on the cover. It was series number 43 and so that became my favorite number and it's never changed ever since. Mostly I just like that it's unique to myself.

Defying Gravity because I've always wanted to fly and gravity is what holds me down. I thought of it because I loved the name of a group, Mad at Gravity but thought Defying sounded better. I later found out it was the name of a Wicked song.

The heart is just because I love romance and love so much.

Speaking of Andre Royo, I had this dream with him! Well first it started with Victor Garber who I saw outside of this Paley center type event in LA. I was nervous about whether to approach him and in my hesitation I missed him and he walked away and I was so angry at myself and even tried to call his name. But then inside the auditorium place he was singing so I was in heaven there. But then Andre Royo came up to the stage and I was SO excited. As was everyone else because the room was filled with WGA type people who recognized the brilliance of The Wire and the whole crowd went even more crazy when Wood Harris went up there too. It was just so awesome to be with so many people who loved The Wire. So that was a very good dream.
I've also had two Victor Garber dreams where he was Jack. One in which I was Sydney (or at least Sydney-like) and I had to comfort him when he was all torn up about Irina. Because Irina was with this other guy (because of the events in Search and Rescue I think) and he saw them together and it was all very sad. Although they did have this very purple colored filtered scene that was pretty. But in my second dream I was Irina and her and Jack were at this concert but wanted to leave. And then me (as Irina) starts kissing Jack! It was very hot. Definitely my favorite dream so far ;)
Very sad about Charles Heston dying. I just know him as Ben-Hur who was very slashy in the movie without knowing it.

| Technology sucks |

I have the worst luck because without warning, yesterday my laptop power adapter stopped working. So my laptop is basically dead right now. Argh. I really did not need that. Caught up with my Flist today in the library and just like everytime I leave my internet for too long, it feels like coming home. I love fandom.
I've been catching up on some UK TV which is nice because it's short and I can get a bunch of series done. I've watched Primeval, Skins and Queer as Folk UK and liked them all in various degrees. New Skins tonight, yay! Wanted to catch up with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles but doesn't look like that's going to happen. I've been stopped because I still needed to watch the first two movies although I did get to see the first movie before my battery ran out. Also working on Farscape slowly but sure and I'm in mid-S2 right now.
Random: Jane Espenson is watching The Wire! This is significant because when I was picketing with her, I told her she should watch it and how amazing it was. So that was cool.
Still in love with Alias especially the SpyFam. I got the first season DVDs from the library so I'll probably watch that today along with the commentaries. Jack and Sydney still make me squee about as much as I did on first viewing so that's wonderful to relive. |
